Today, Ronn Motor Company (RMC) announced that its hydrogen-hybrid supercar - the Ronn Scorpion - will be unveiled at this November’s SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Texas-based company also announced that hot-rod specialists Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters will be responsible for most of the car’s construction, including its advanced composite body and aluminum chassis. By end of the year, Scorpion would go on sale.
Bertone, one of the most famous design houses in Europe had lost all its contracts, had a big operation to sustain, and went into bankruptcy protection. However, Bertone is re-emerging. The manufacturing division, heavy with overhead, was stripped away from the styling studio, which is still owned by the Bertone family but operated independently. And its new business development director is keen to get the design house back on track.
Mazda's top designer to become its new Design Director and head up a team of in-house designers at a new studio. Franz von Holzhausen is the current rock star of the automobile design world, having been the creative force behind the last few year's worth of Mazda concepts that include the Nagare and Furai, as well as overseeing the design of all Mazda production vehicles in North America since February 2005. von Holzhausen has also been a designer at both General Motors and Volkswagen.
Nissan's motorsports arm has been hard at work developing parts for the GT-R, and on August 20th, R35 owners in Japan will get their first taste of NISMO's efforts. Tuning packages – ranging from street to circuit kits – will be offered in either comprehensive combinations or ala carte, and will include wheels and tires, carbon fiber aero parts, exhaust systems, tweaked ECUs and upgraded cooling kits. All the parts have already undergone rigorous testing, primarily during NISMO/MOTUL's campaign of a race-prepped R35 GT-R in the Tokachi 24 hour endurance race.

While some suggest this could be the successor to either the F430 or the Enzo, observers were confused by the complete lack of any apparent effort to disguise the car's bodywork. These pictures that come to us from a reader of our Dutch friends over at Autoblog.nl show a mid-engined supercar that looks to be production ready – notice the absence of any type of camouflage. Although there’s a possibility that the supercar featured in these scoop photos could be a revised version of the current F430, we’re leaning towards a coach built model created for an ultra-rich customer with the blessings of Ferrari.
